Tuesday, November 28, 2023 9:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. Gefinor Rotana Hotel, Beirut and Online via Zoom (The corresponding link will be shared upon confirmation of virtual attendance)Lebanon’s ongoing crisis has profoundly impacted its various sectors, with challenges ranging from the decline of consumer purchasing power, operational difficulties, the absence of bank credit lines, and ineffective governance.
In light of these difficult economic factors, the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS), in collaboration with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF), dedicated over a year to a multi-sectoral study of Lebanon’s economy. Research by the LCPS team and leading experts in their field has culminated in four insightful policy briefs: Lebanon’s Economic Crisis by Sector:- The Knowledge Economy Loses Its Balance
- Challenges and Opportunities in Manufacturing
- Reforming the Healthcare System
- Agriculture’s Roadmap to Resilience
Drawing inspiration from these policy briefs, LCPS, with the support of FNF, is organizing a conference that will bring together experts, economists, academics, and policymakers to discuss these four critical sectors: education and the knowledge economy, manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture.
The conference aims to initiate a discussion based on the research and the recommendations offered to help guide Lebanon towards recovery.Registration Form Registration Deadline: Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:59 pm
